FAQ

General Questions

How do I get started?

You may call us or contact us by filling out the Contact Us form. We’ll get back to you promptly, usually within the hour. If you don’t have any questions, and are ready to schedule your first dog walking or pet sitting appointment, we will set up a Meet & Greet session with you. Below are the objectives of this meeting:
1. Set up opportunity for you and your pet(s) to meet your dog walker/ pet sitter. It is important that a bond is established between you and your pet sitter as well as between the sitter and the pet(s) he/she will be caring for.
2. For the client to explain their home and pet(s) routines such as when and where they eat & sleep, where things are such as water/food dishes, leashes, toys, treats etc.
3. For the client to ask questions that may not have been covered earlier or may be unclear. and to make sure both parties are the right fit.
4. To complete the Service agreement, Client and Pet(s) profile forms.
Meet & Greet is complimentary only if services are contracted at the meeting.

Else there is a $20 charge at the time of your consultation. However, should you schedule our service within two weeks, the fee is credited, in full, from your first invoice. House key must be provided with full payment in advance prior starting of service.

How much advance notice do you need?

We prefer at least one (1) week advance notice. However, its best to reserve dates as far in advance as possible, especially for service needed during long weekends and public holidays. We book services on a first come, first served basis.

What if I need last minute service?

We do take last minute bookings if we have a walker/sitter available and a late booking fee for less than 24-hours’ notice. For new clients, we’d still required a meet & greet consultation meeting before commencing of service. Once you are established as a client, we can service you same day if needed.  This is another great reason to keep your keys on file with our service, one less detail to worry about.

Are there any extra charges for weekend or public holiday care?

The only extra charges we have are for Sunday, Christmas eve, Chinese New Year’s Eve and Public holidays.

What happens if my pet becomes sick or injured?

We are committed to the excellent care of your pet(s).  Should your pet become sick or injured, we will take the procedures:
1. Your sitter will contact a supervisor who is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
2. We then will make every effort to reach you at the trip contact information that you have provided.
3. If we are unable to contact you, we will try to reach your emergency contact person on file.
4. If we are unable to reach anyone, we will decide on the appropriate action to be taken to protect and care for your pet and home.
5. If it is deemed a health emergency for your pet, we will contact your vet or an emergency clinic and transport your pet if needed for treatment.

Can you provide references?

We come with many references from satisfied clients. Do check out our testimonial page and our photo gallery of pet clients, or feel free to ask us for the contact information of a client that you can call directly.

How do you handle my keys and access to my property?

Ideally two working keys should be given to your walker/sitter when you meet them for the first time.  Keeping your keys on file ensures that we are ready for future service at a moment’s notice.  If you require your key(s) to be returned at the end of service, there will be a charge of $15 for future key pick up or drop off arrangements.

PLEASE TEST ALL NEWLY MADE KEYS TO SEE THAT THEY WORK PROPERLY!

If you live in a gated community, you will also be required to provide your walker/sitter with a gate code or an access card before the service starts. We are happy to help you work out the details as we have many years of experience dealing with most properties in Singapore!

What forms of payment do you take?

Clients must make full payment before commencing of service. We do accept cash though cheque or bank transfer is generally preferred. Our client will receive a service reminder by text message approximately 3-4 days prior to the start of your service. Client may leave your cash or cheque in a central area for your walker/sitter to pick-up, like the kitchen counter or a common area that your sitter will be accessing.

Does my sitter accept tips?

Yes. Tips generally are not required, but for a job well-done, tips are always appreciated!  You may include them in your cheque or leave cash.  100% of all tips will go to your walker/sitter.

Dog Walking Questions

How much does a dog walker cost (Prices/Rates)

Prices will depend on the durations of the walk. In general, our rates start from $28/visit.

Who are your Dog walkers?

Our staffs are mature, responsible animal lovers who are carefully selected based on their experience and high-quality ethics.  All of them go through a strict and thorough interview, tests and checks. They are then sent through our probation program & training, that is designed to underscore home security, safety for your pet(s), and the highest possible quality standards.

Will I have the same walker each time I use your services?

Yes, we guarantee the same walker for regular and daily walk clients. In fact regular clients will be assigned with 2 carers for their pets they can also be assured that if their pet sitter or dog walker is sick this will not affect their pets. We guarantee visits are completed 100% of the time

For ad-hoc clients. While we will still assign a primary walker, we do not guarantee the same walker each time you use us. We work in teams and communicate often with each other, so all information is passed onto each sitter caring for your pets. We will update your information in our system as well.

Our promise is that we will always have a trained, qualified walker available for your pet care needs.

Does my dog need to be on a leash even if he is off-leash trained?

ABSOLUTELY! While your dog may be off-leash trained. By law, a dog has to be under leash control when it is on a public place. If another dog comes over to us while walking your dog and they are aggressive then we can remove your dog from that situation if they are on the lead. If they are not it may not be possible to avoid that and your dog could get hurt.

In addition, some big breed dogs such as the Bull Mastiff, Bull Terrier, Doberman Pinscher, German Shepherd (and its related crosses) and Rottweiler MUST be muzzled when in public places.

Will my dog be walked in extreme temperatures or weather?

During high temperatures, our walks will be brief for certain breed. We do not want your pet(s) or our sitters to become over exposed, and suffer from heat exhaustion. During severe thunderstorms, and if walking conditions become dangerous, we will do all we can to ensure your pet(s) get out for a short potty break ad back.  We can resume regular walking schedules if the severe weather has passed.

Will my dog socialise with other dogs on walks.

While it is important for dogs to be socialised with other dogs – but it’s not something that we actively do on our dog walks. We prefer to focus our attention on your dog and not be distracted by other dogs or their owners. We want your dog to get their full walk in a safe and fun environment.

Pet Sitting Questions

Can you give my pet medication?

All of our sitters are able to give pills and topical medications to most pets. Many of our sitters are also able to give needle administered medications.

What if I don’t make it back from my trip on time?

We require you notify us upon your return. If we don’t hear from you, we call you. If we still don’t hear from you, we continue our services until you return. The pets ALWAYS come first.

I do not feel comfortable having different team members in my home without meeting them first. Would it be OK to set up a meet and greet with each sitter before we leave home?

Absolutely! We offer additional Meet & Greet visits with back-up sitters in case of an emergency.

How many times a day will you visit? What about overnight?

We try to accommodate every situation; the least frequent service we offer is every other day (usually for cats or caged pets).  We can do one to five visits per day, a combination of extended visits and/or overnights – whichever fits the needs of you and your pet(s).  We will be happy to discuss your requirements and help you come up with a schedule of services to fit your needs.

Can I have someone share pet sitting duties with my friends or family?

No it is not advisable. Our years of experience have shown us that Safety and Consistency is vital to providing the best possible care for your four-legged loved ones and home. Hence for the best interest of your pet(s) and home, it is best for our walker/sitter to provide all the necessary care during the entire period.
